Community celebrates victory of Osun house of assembly member-elect, Adeyemi, 'Irekandu' in grand style.

The entire community of Ibokun, in Obokun local government of Osun State on Sunday trooped out in large numbers to celebrate the victory of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP's house of assembly candidate in the town, Adewumi Adeyemi, popularly called 'Irekandu'.
Adeyemi, a former President of Students' Union at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State defeated an incumbent, Mr Bosun Oyintiloye of All Progressives Congress, APC, in the Saturday, March 9 election into the house of assembly in the state.
A member of APC in the town, who craved anonymity told our Correspondent that the victory of Adeyemi at poll was indeed a victory for everybody in Obokun /Oriade State constituency .
He added that the degree of humility, coupled with deep intellectual acumen Adeyemi displayed endeared him to the people of the area.
According to the source, majority of the people were already tired of APC representation, hence the need for switch of alliance.
Speaking with newsmen on Saturday at his polling unit, Adeyemi asserted that his background as a students' union activist put him in the right footing to bring great idea into governance.
He explained that his cardinal focus at the parliament would be to initiate legislation in tandem with the popular aspirations of the people in the constituency in particular, and Osun citizenry in general.
" My political thought and ideology is tailored towards eradicating poverty and misery in our domain and chat a new cause of political and economic emancipation for our people.
" It will never be business as usual, we are bringing effective and efficient representation to bear at the Osun parliament, with deep developmental idea to change the face of our state in all ramifications.
As a qualified architect, I have a satisfactory knowledge of speedy infrastructural development, and as a human rights activist, I am well grounded in the concept of human capital development ", Adeyemi posited.
