Ed-el-fitr: Osun Senator, Omoworare felicitates with Muslims, preaches peace
The Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District, Babajide Omoworare has called on Muslims in Nigeria to sustain the virtues inherent in Ramadan and uphold lesson the Holy month teaches.
Omoworare, who is also the Chairman, Senate Committee on Legislative Compliance expressed optimism of a prosperous and peaceful Nigeria if strictly adhere to virtues of love, chastity and godliness as being taught during the fasting period.
This was contained in a congratulatory message signed by his media aide, Tunde Dairo, and made available to newsmen in Ile-ife.
Omoworare further advocated mutual co-existence amongst people irrespective of difference in religion, class and tribe, adding that societal cohesion brings about speedy development.
He said: "As we end this year's Islamic fasting month, I felicitate with Muslims on the successful end of the spiritual exercise . It is however important that we sustain the lessons of Ramadan beyond it. chastity, unity, love, consecration, godliness, sharing, faith and worship which characterised the month of Ramadan are essential for a better Nigeria and must be sustained by all.
"A greater and prosperous Nigeria is possible if we will not give up in our dedication to God and service to humanity."
The lawmaker also call for fervent prayers from all Nigerians for the purpose of sustaining the indivisibility of Nigeria's entity and build united front as a nation, as he implored Nigerians to give more support to the All Progressives Congress led by President Muhamadu Buhari to take Nigeria to the next level.
