Build A Door By Abimbola Abatta

Opportunities abound in each day. This week will avail you several chances of improving and investing in yourself. Sadly, the opportunities and chances may pass you by if you are not on the alert. It is one thing to see opportunities, it is another to touch them. And it is another matter entirely to grab opportunities.

Like a slippery slope, your biggest opportunity can slip away. Before you say, ‘Jack and Jill’, it has skidded down the hill.

Learn to seize opportunities before they slip through your fingers. How can you do this?

Get out of your comfort zone.

•  Increase your capacity to stretch

•  Build healthy relationships with people

•  Present your values to the table. Show what you can offer.

•  Learn to manage your time; it is invaluable.

•  Set goals, and gain clarity on what you want.

•  Identify your strengths and weaknesses.

•  Be self-confident. Know your worth.

•  Don’t compromise your faith and values in the name of opportunities.

Opportunities may seem to hide from us, but we must be willing to build the door of opportunities. Position yourself to create opportunities.  Stop waiting for that out-of-the-ordinary chance before you act.

Laziness, low self-esteem, and procrastination could be the obstacles holding you back from creating opportunities for yourself.

In the words of Milton Berle, “If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door.”

Are you willing to build a door today?

Cheers!
