Ondo Doctors Begin Indefinite Strike


 
Doctors in Public hospitals in Ondo state have embarked on an indefinite strike.

This is not unconnected from their unpaid salaries and poor condition of service, the doctors said.

The doctors include assocation of resident doctors, University of Medical of Sciences Teaching Hospital Ondo, Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria government hospitals and National Assocation of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioners

Addressing a news conference in Akure, the spokesperson of the government doctors, Omolayo Olubosede, instructed members to withdraw their services from government hospitals from today.

The doctors also rejected the 50 percent Novermber salary paid to them in February by the state government.
