Indonesian Man Marries Rice Cooker, Divorces It 4 Days Later

This might sound unbelievable but it’s true that Khoirul Anam, an Indonesian man, found himself on top of the trends list this week after he married his rice cooker. Yes, that’s correct.

On Facebook, Khoirul shared pictures from his wedding with the rice cooker and no prizes for guessing that the post has gone viral on social media.

In pictures that were made available on social media, Khoirul was seen dressed in traditional white attire while the rice cooker was also decorated with a sheer white veil. For the ceremony, the rice cooker was placed beside Khoirul while in one of the images, he also kissed the cooker. ‘Both’ signed the marriage papers as well.

In the caption of his post, Khoirul said that he married the rice cooker because it is “white, loving and obedient. Without you, my rice is not cooked.”

Now, around four days after the ‘wedding’, Khoirul, in a post on Facebook, announced that he had divorced the rice cooker because it could only cook rice.

Khoirul Anam’s posts went viral with over 7,000 likes and around 10,000 shares.

Khoirul Anam is an acclaimed celebrity in Indonesia and local media reports state that he often pulls off weird stunts to entertain his fans and followers.
