Man Allegedly Snatches Motorcycle, Hits And Dumps Rider In Bush

A 25-year-old man, Ajayi Taiwo has been remanded by an An Ado-Ekiti Magistrates’ Court for alleged robbery.

The accused person allegedly committed the robbery on October 17 in Aramoko-Ekiti.

The prosecutor, Inspector Adejare Elijah, had told the court that the accused person allegedly robbed one Mr Rashidi Jimoh of motorcycle valued at N310,000.

He said that the accused person hit Jimoh on the head with a stick, causing him to be unconscious, adding that he dropped Jimoh in a bush and made away with his motorcycle.

The offence committed contravened Section 402 (1) of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ekiti State, 2012.

The prosecutor urged the court to remand the accused person in a correctional centre pending legal advice from the Office of Oyo State Director of Public Prosecution, DPP,

The plea of the accused person was not taken.

In her ruling, Magistrate Dolapo Kay-Williams, ordered the remand of the accused person pending the advice from DPP.

The case was adjourned till November 22 for mention.
