2022: Osun West APC's Women Wing Drums Support For Oyetola /Alabi Second Term Bid

The All Progressives Congress, APC's women wing in Osun West Senatorial District, on Wednesday converged on Iwo, to mobilize members of the party  and other electorates in the zone for the reelection of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and his Deputy, Benedict Alabi, in the coming  governorship election billed to hold on 16th July, 2022.

The women were resolute in their resolve to campaign massively for the party  within the senatorial district  and beyond, saying people of the state must be made to understand all that the government in the state is doing to make life  better for the citizenry.

Addressing the mammoth crowd, the Osun West Women Senatorial Leader,  Chief Mrs  Funmilayo Adegbile, opined that APC's women in the zone were very proud of Governor Oyetola and his Deputy for what she termed tremendous achievements in all areas of human existence within the space of three years.

She explained that the Osun West Senatorial District is a friendly environment for the APC, based on laudable impact the government have had on the people of the area .

According to her, the consistent and steady pattern of development since 2018 when the present administration in the state came to power has distinguished the administration as responsible and responsive in all  ways.

Adegbile,  further asserted that no amount of lies and propaganda could sway the electorates in all the ten local governments in the zone from the path of APC, as she commended women across the zone in particular and all over the state for their unalloyed supports and solidarity.

''We are on the path of success on this journey ,  the unprecedented turn around in our dear state by this administration  is already speaking for our party; our people now know better and could see the difference in every sector.

''For us in the West, especially women, we are more than ready  to reelect our amiable Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola and his supportive and reliable Deputy, Benedict Alabi come July, 2022.

''We want to really thank the Governor for his pragmatic approach to issues and his Deputy, who is our leader in the West for his consistency in coming to our aid whenever we are in need of any assistance.

'We, therefore, call on all our members in this Senatorial District and beyond to start massive mobilization for the party to ensure victory at the poll'', she stressed.

Present at the event were members of the  cabinet  as well as other state functionaries from the zone.

Lawal Approves 28 Games For Osun Sports' Festival

Osun State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Yemi Lawal has approved 28 different sports for the upcoming sports fiesta that will cut across the nooks and crannies of the state. This is contained in a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the Sports' Council, Mrs Funmilayo Moradeyo on Wednesday. The approved sports are; football, volleyball, basketball, handball; hockey, cricket, table tennis, chess, ayo olopon, draft, scrabble, boxing; Taekwondo and kick- boxing. Others are; Para- powerlifting, konfu, karate, judo, wrestling, swimming, athletics, badminton, squash, cycling tennis and weightlifting. The commissioner in a meeting with the Sports Council staff, coaches and local government sports coordinators, observed that "it is high time we started to develop sports from the grassroot, put the age limit of the athlete that  can feature in the sports fiesta to be 15- 29. As part of the reunion programme of the 2001 set of Management & Accounting Department of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife, the association has renovated several classrooms and other facilities in the Faculty of Administration.
