NSCDC Boss Charges Officers On Professionalism, Image Building
Personnel of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Osun State command have been charged on professionalism, discipline, image building, integrity and dedication to duty.
They were also charged to focus on ensuring security of lives, property and critical national assets and infrastructure in the state.
NSCDC State Commandant, Emmanuel Ocheja gave the charge during a muster parade at the Command Headquarters in Osogbo.
Ocheja who was represented by Head of Operations Department, Deputy Commandant of Corps (DCC) Adebiyi Ishola, implored officers to discharge their duties with diligence and pay attention to the mandates of the Corps.
He advised Civil Defence officers to maintain neutrality, dedication to duty, as well as due diligence the Corps is known for.
According to the Commandant, he said the inalienable fundamental human rights of citizens must be respected in the course of their duties.
"Osun State is a peaceful State and the Command will work relentlessly to render excellent security services in the state, in line with the statutory mandates and functions of the Corps.
"Professionalism and impartiality shall be brought to bear in all NSCDC does always. We cannot afford to fritter away the goodwill of members of the public in rating NSCDC as one of the best security agencies. NSCDC is meant to serve Nigerians."
Meanwhile, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Atanda Olabisi urged members of the public to promptly report any information beneficial to the Corps to ensure effective security for all and sundry, for investigation.
