Osun Traditional Council Hail Oyetola Over Speedy Completion Of Olaiya Flyover

The Osun Traditional Council has commended Gov. Gboyega Oyetola, for the timely completion of the newly constructed  N 2.7 billion Olaiya flyover in Osogbo, the capital.

The traditional council, who  who were taken round the flyover by the Commissioner for Works and Transport, Engr. Oluremi Omowaiye, described the project as truly iconic in every sense.

They said the flyover had transformed the look of the state capital.
 
Gov. Gboyega Oyetola, had  on Monday opened  the newly-constructed N 2.7 billion Olaiya flyover in Osogbo, the capital, for public use.

Oyetola and members of his cabinet performed a test run and the first drive through on the bridge.

The governor had in Feb. 2021 performed the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of the flyover.

Speaking on behalf of the royal fathers, the Eburu of Iba, Oba (Prof.) Adekunle Adeogun, commended the governor for coming up with the initiative of building a modern Flyover in the State capital.

Oba Adeogun said with the excellent performances the governor had displayed since the inception of his administration,  he could be trusted with a secomd term in office.

"What else can we say, this is marvelous in our eyes, this is indeed a modern bridge that is befitting of any modern city in any part of the world.

" We are proud and excited to have this in our state.

"We must ensure that Gov. Oyetola returns for a second term for the good work to continue", he said.

Also speaking, the Olojudo of Ido Osun, Oba( Dr) Aderemi Adedapo, said the flyover had added beauty to the state capital..

He said" I have been the traditional ruler of Ido-Osun for the past 17 years but has never witness such great and encouraging project like this.

"The Olaiya Flyover is indeed marvelous and it is something we are proud of as a people".

Also,  Oba Ajalaye of Ipetu ijasa, Oba Agunbide Oke Adeleke, described Oyetola  as a visionary leader, who always deliver on its promises to the people of the State. 

Earlier, Omowaiye thanked the traditional   for the surprise visit the flyover.

He said  all the new roads embarked upon for construction or reabilitation by the state government would be completed.
